Has anyone seen 1408?
Has anyone seen the movie "1408"? If so, without ruining the plot can you tell me if you thought it was any good?

I didn’t like it. It started good and I was into it but once he got to the room it was all down hill after that. Sam Jacksons scene when he was talking to Cusak about the room was awesome but then that was it. I give it 2 stars. Just watch in on netflix. Trust me you didn’t miss much.

My wife and I took my step-daughters and their boyfriends to see this when it first came out and we all loved it.
Edited to add the initial thread about it so you can get some more opinions...

I felt the same way. The movie was really eerie right up until he actually gets into the room. I didn't care for it after that.
I do like that it tried to rely on actual scares rather than over the top gore like most of today's crap movies that pass themselves off as "horror" (Saw, Hostel, etc.).
I'd give 1408 two and a half stars overall.

Yeah these new horror movies are terrible.
1408 needed more Sam Jackson.

I really dug it, big fan of Cusack, especially in stuff like this and Identity.
It wasnt as spooky as Id heard it was, but had a lot of good elements in it, every film could do with a bit more Cusack :-)
