Lovely ants...although I hate the buggers IRL...especially when they try to invade your home.
Paint job is perfection....outside of the black hair which I could give two craps about since you will never see it anyway. No black lines on the mask....no problem....won't ever notice it even from regular viewing distance....why?...because I don't give a flying footkick of a hell. Petty stuff to me...but I understand its not to others. Execution of the statue is quite simply spectacular. Packaging is the same old excellence. The amount of display options the way you can set up the ants is second to none. I honestly can't say anything bad about the statue...or to me...anything that is remotely wrong with it. This might also be the best print done so far. I might still give the print edge to Magneto with Hawkeye and Black Widow close second along with Ant-Man. HIVE is best design in the industry IMHO....just one of the reasons why I am in such enamorment with XM studios. Now all I need to see is Martin Canale or Mark Newman make a statue or two for XM.
Ant-man character = 7 (how cool of a character I think he is in the MCU)
Concept & Design = 9 (mostly due to inclusion of small Ant-Man)
Design Features = 10 (look at the translucency of the abdomen on the ants...how frikkin cool is that)
Paint Application = 9.5 (.5 lower due to XM oversight on hair and mask...but really insignificant)
Extras = 9 (7 ants is plenty...plus you can display little guy on little rock included instead of on Antony)
Packaging = 10 (XM should never get anything lower than a 9.5 quite honestly)
Cohesion with other statues = 10
Overall = 9.5 / 10 (close guestimation...I'm too lazy to really tally correctly)
Pretty funny. You may actually be serious and I am not making fun of you for saying it....but it just comes across as funny to me.
