My favorite Batman cape is XM’s Samurai Batman. It’s sculpted, light, and looks fantastic.

The Superman cape on the 1/4 scale New 52 piece also looks outstanding.

While I get your point, cloth can last hundreds of years if it's cared for as well.

What kind of cloth are people used to? I have a lot of clothes and rarely do they just deteriorate the way some of you make it sound. Shirts I wear a lot may get holes but it’s because I’m wearing them over time. If we’re talking about quality then cloth itself isn’t the exact problem with statues, it’s using cheap cloth. Cheap cloth can have issues just like faulty plastics and paints and we've all seen statues lean, crack, fall over, etc.
I don’t care about cloth or sculpted, I just want it to be accurate to the source material and look good. One positive of fabric is you can pose it how you want. As much as I love the sculpt of XM’s new Thor I wouldn’t pose the cape the way they did. I’d get more comic dramatic if I could pose it but since it’s sculpted it’s not possible to change it. At least with sideshow I know in most case I can pose the cape how I want it.

Piece looks good but dr strange is a little boring. They got the wrong dr.
With the cloth cape should have just been a pf
I don’t think the cloth cape is going to deteriorate or anything but it does look like it’s going to be tough to match the same look. It’s pretty janky and for that pose requires some good hands to mirror the same thing. For cloth capes they should just use them when they just to need to sit straight down.
