Halloween Horror Movie recommendations

I'm a huge watcher of Horror movies in the month of October and decided to start this thread in the hopes that I'd get some good tips on films I may not know about. How about posting a pic and brief explanation of an obscure horror film or two you feel SF members may enjoy. I'll kick things off with a few.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark was one of those abc movies of the week back in the 70's. Believe it or not, these teledramas were often scary as S. This one has a young couple moving into a gothic New England Farm House and the young wife being left home alone a lot. There's something(s) sealed in the basement which only show themselves to her. You'll find the movie very dated but extremely scary at times. A fun edition to a triple horror feature.

This would play well w/ Don't Be Afraid of the Dark - Let's Scare Jessica to Death, I believe was originally aired as a tv movie back in the 70's. This one concerns a young woman convalescing after some sort of breakdown in yet another misty, victorian, New England town. She begins having terrorfying visions and is told by helpful friends that these visions
are merely hallucinations. But they're not. Younger movie watchers may be turned off by slower, 70's pacing, but this movie has some serious scares.

I'll end my triple feature w/ this 70's TV horror movie gem. The Dark Secret of Harvest House was scarier than hell because Betty Davis, in her golden years, was scarier than the devil on a rainy night. In this movie she plays an uber-matriarch in a (yet again) New England town. This one has it all - Witch Craft, Human Sacrafice, ghosts, lobotomized farm-boys, I could go on. But on your Bell Bottoms, grow your burns out and watch these 70's horror unknown classics.

I know this is not an "obscure" movie but it is, without a doubt, the single greatest movie film on the 1980s. It redefined the genre and gave birth to the definition of a "cult classic".

This is must watch for people have seen it, for people who haven't seen it and for people who just simply love it!

Evil Dead 2 is awesome! But I prefer Evil Dead 1. It's incredibly cool.

Audition!

Japanese horror at its most disturbing. This movie is nothing like the ring, grudge, or dark water.

A man looking for a new girlfriend puts out an ad looking for actresses for a fake movie. He hopes to find the woman of his dreams.

And it all goes downhill from there. She puts Glen Close in Fatal Attraction and Jennifer Jason Leigh in Single White Female look tame by comparison.

If you can't handle Saw or Hostel, don't see this movie! If the poster I posted for the movie creeps you out too much, don't see this movie.

Sci-Fi channel shows this movie very occasionally. They cut it to shreds when they do. Its an easy pick-up. I've seen it for under $10 at stores. Watch it!
This is one Hell of a Werewolf Movie. Brutal, fun, and heart-pounding. The werewolves look like I'd want werewolves to look if they actually roamed the Scottish Highlands. Great Cast including Rome's and now Journey Man's Kevin McKidd. I.M.O., this is the best werewolf movie ever made excluding Lon Channey Jr's The Wolman.
