in other news, did you know that the state of Nebraska has passed a "Safe Haven" law, stating that parents can ABANDON children up to the age of 19 at a hospital & not be charged w/ neglect, endangerment, abandonment, etc. It's intended to ease pressure on parents who can't cope & was, of course, intended for newborns.
Yesterday a man DROPPED OFF all NINE of his kids, a few of whom are teenagers, and just left them!

Nah I don't hunt much, i'm just a collector of guns mainly. Funny about the mixed person, that's pretty much what my "right wing" buddies say when I tell them I am pro-gay rights and pro-gay marriage, against the death penalty, and for abolishing drug laws, prostitution laws (all "vice" crimes really)

Nah we just tax them to death. A lot of border Canadians are closer to Fargo than Winnepeg and come here to shop and we charge outrageous local sales tax so we can get Canooks to pay for a lot of our schools and city improvements

I saw a cartoon once that was funny as hell. It had these two guys standing in a room drinking and smoking cigars. They are obviously drunk and the one guy has his arm around the other and the one was shooting a handgun at bottles on the desk. The sign on the glass on the door said "Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms"
But to be fair those are some of my left wing or liberal views, I also have some right wing or conservative views, so just for disclosure some of my right wing views include
Pro-life in all cases, Pro-gun rights, low taxes, cut spending on EVERYTHING (I'm looking right at you widows and orphans), voluntary privatization of social security for younger workers, support and expansion of worldwide democracy and capitalism, etc
But as for partying I love to party with all kinds of people, its just best not talk politics when doing so.

the anti-big gov't stance that most right-wingers take when talking about the economy or their guns doesn't hold water FOR ME when they also want to tell a woman what she can or cannot do w/ her uterus, what 2 consenting adults can or cannot do in a bedroom or that God doesn't recognize or sanction their loving & committed union, or that kids have to pray to a God they don't believe in in school.
in this case i do not think it's a sign of genius to be able to hold 2 conflicting ideas in one's head at one time. i think it's "we want things the way we like them and we'll shoot anyone who says otherwise." TNovak most definitely excepted.
(but we don't agree on 'pro-life in all cases;' then again, neither of us will EVER be pregnant, so it's kinda none of our business.)
