fooly cooly, similar connatation to the western "Hokey Pokey"
meaning, it's weird, wacked out, nuts, wacky, and as p1x4r put it kah-ray-zzzzz(y)
awesome animation by Gainax(neon genesis) and Production IG(ghost in the shell.)

Sorry, I wasn't being clear.
I know FLCL transliterates into "Fooly Cooly." What I meant was what does "Fooly Cooly" mean? So, Car50, it means "weird, wacked out, nuts, wacky, and as p1x4r put it kah-ray-zzzzz(y)," huh? Cool. Thanks!

Hanky Panky...
I don't think the wikipedia article is totally correct.
I have been told by Japanese speaking friends, fans of the show, and my own interpretation that it stands for "messing around."

Interesting... I had read that it basically means "grabbing someone's rear", in a flirt-y way. Can any of the Japanese members hear give us the final answer?
