I'm also probably waiting on a bundle. Guessing there will either be a Zelda one or a Mario Kart one.

I'd only want it for Mario kart and Mario Party. And the new Mario game.

I've been seeing a lot of comments of cancellations for pre-orders due to "limited stock" from a variety of stores. Not only that, but Amazon's system apparently doesn't like it when you attempt to update your billing information. It will push your order to the end of the line if you do. Which is essentially the same as cancelling it.
Not looking good for me. I had no choice but to update my payment info a few days ago. Awaiting the cancellation email.....

I'm sure there will be plenty of consoles next month, so the wait is not long.
I'm still holding out for the inevitable Zelda edition

I think I'm going to wait a bit on the Switch. I think if they do a Bundle edition and see if they make a few improvements that some of the reviewers have complained about(kickstand is flimsy, can't charge while the switch has the kickstand up, etc. etc.) then I'll bite before the end of the year.

The problem I have with so many of the complaints coming in is that most if not all of them can be easily remedied. It means you'll need additional accessories but Nintendo nickel and diming on the accessory front is nothing new. The Switch can't charge while on it's kickstand? Get a Playstand. No LAN port on the Switch? Get a cheap LAN port adapter. Need memory space? Get higher capacity Micro SDXC card. Don't like the way the controls fee? The Pro controller is available, etc. etc.
The point is that none of these complaints are new for Nintendo since the release of the orginal Wii (except maybe the kickstand thing).
That said there are some valid concerns. The drop in frame rate while docked is somewhat concerning. It seems more and more that this is meant to be more of a portable device than it is a console. But not only is that not surprising it is still really early to make such claims.

My son really wants one but we didn't pre-order one. I just tell him to wait a bit, there don't seem to be many interesting games at launch anyway.

Very true. I actually priced everything out to see what it would cost to remedy all the complaints plus have a game and a carry case. Came out to $530, thats pretty hefty. But the concept is still very inticing. So I figure by fall maybe some things will either be addressed or bundled in.

Yeah by fall you'll be able to snag Zelda and Mario Kart and Mario Odessey, at least with those three games it'll be worth grabbing.

Exactly what I told him. We'll get one when we can whenever we come across one. Preferably before fall, despite the lack of games, because I'm sure they'll be short on supply for the holidays.

The Switch will be Unreal Engine compatible so that is a good sign for some other games coming down the line from non-Nintendo companies. Go Unreal Engine!!!!!!
