$8K is lot of gear that i'd love/hate to have. love because it needs no explaining but hate if something happened to it. it's almost like driving a $100K sports car. lol

That's what insurance is for. My camera is insured and you should have all of you stuff insured as well. You have way too much $ in gear not to have it insured.

Great analogy, totally understand where you're coming from. The Mark III is the 'upper' limit for me as well, $8000 is just too much for a camera, regardless of it's capabilities. I know there is insurance available but worrying about the camera rather than the shot would take away much of the enjoyment for a hobbyist such as myself.

great set of new pics, pix. do you fix colors in photoshop because your dr. strange and vision pics are really great.

btw, here's a question to all of you... why canon and why not nikon? i grew up with my dad's nikons and they seem to have a good set of DSLRs now. also, any comments on the new 450D?
