There's one of these in Hollywood.
I've never done it, but I know people who have and they enjoyed the experience.
Sounds like you had a good time, Rod.

It's 40 bucks a ticket, only 12 seats in the entire cinema, and you get motorized recliners, a call button for wait staff, gourmet dinner, alcohol, snacks etc brought to your seat, it's the ultimate in cinema viewing, and has become quite big here. That was the best viewing both in comfort and screen aspect ratio which was the 2D regular Though 2D Imax was close behind

Man what a great film...just had me on the edge the whole time. Great use of sound and music.

Thor 8/10 close to an 8.5

Another great Marvel movie. Had the perfect balance of true comic continuity with changes to make it accessible to everyone else. Good mixture of adventure, humor, even some drama. Helmsworth was a perfect choice for Thor, once you saw him on the big screen in his armor, it was him. All the other actors were great in their roles also, just a really well done movie.

And as I said in the Thor thread, perfect example of why you should never judge a movie by the first still released to the public.

The premise of that movie could never happen (which is why the Navy pulled their sponsorship of it), but it's enjoyable fiction, for sure.

I don't bring this up that often, but my father was Captain of the Alabama.. from that movie (no, he's not Gene Hackman). He's retired now. Skip Beard, the Captain who followed him, is sitting at the review board at the end of the film (bald head and beard). I haven't seen the movie in years because it is horribly false.

They used the Salt Lake City in Hunt For Red October (it's the Dallas), which he was also the Captain of; his name's William Wilson Gay III. I was almost the fourth, which would've meant I could sign everything WWG IV, since he signs stuff WWG III.

Fun stuff.
