It wasn't helped by the negative press it received even before he movie was released. I'd expect the next movie to make more. $752 is nothing to be ashamed of. Still alot more that most of Marvels individual movies.

It beat Spider-man 2 numbers. And SM2 is widely regarded as the best of the four movies.

Who gives a ---- about ice age. It's a kids movie. It's still well into the top 10 super hero movies. That's a success.

Not according to what I've read.

I would just assume a Spiderman movie would last longer as a #1 film instead of getting beat by a "kids movie".

The numbers don't lie unless Box office mojo got it wrong.

Spider-Man 3 $890m
Spider-Man $821m
The Amazing Spider-Man $752m
Spider-Man 2 $738m
Iron Man 2 $622m

Who cares how much it made. It was still a success however you choose to measure it and has already spawned a sequel so the franchise is obviously still very lucrative.

Not sure what point youre trying to make, Bulls. That box office numbers determine which films are best? I know you've always loved this film and that's great, but you shouldn't take it personally when others don't share that feeling.

I can't say a sequel is interesting to me personally. ASM was dull, uninspired and redundant IMO. People love Spiderman though, so I think this franchise has a long future in film.

IMO, box office numbers do say which movies are best. It shows how many people agree that a movie is good. Does that necessarily say everyone agrees? Of course not.

And i certainly wouldnt go by critic opinions.
