Well that Corman flick wasn't made to be seen.
It was made to keep the licensing or some such legal nonsense.
And I will not line up unless it is a respectful FF film deserving of the characters.
After Crystal Skull, I have some pretty hard rules now before I pay to see something.

Daredevil needs to be R rated and is certainly worthy of more films with both Bullseye and Kingpin please.

I wrote a script before they originally made the first FF movie.
I had Ben Grimm being played by MCD
The Storms were like the Kennedys.
Sue Storm was a !%&!%&!%&!%&!%&.
Johnny Storm was a womanizer.
Reed was a Nancy boy.
And do to Sue's infidelity Reed had a split personality and was Dr Doom as well.

Except Disney doesn't really do R movies. I remember they got flack when Miramax, one of their affiliate studios, started releasing R movies that parents didn't like. So now Miramax do mostly the art house kinda stuff.
But if Disney does let Marvel Films (assuming they keep that moniker) do a rebooted R-rated DD movie, they can look at the Blade example -- Spend roughly $40 million to get back $100 million. But DD doesn't have vampires or werewolves. It would be a gritty urban drama with some unsavory heavies. I say dump "Aflac", put Bullseye and DD in comic-accurate costumes, add a super sexy and lethal Elektra, a comic-accurate Kingpin surrounded by ruthless and colorful thugs, create some moody atmosphere, don't skimp on the violence or inferred violence, and see what happens.

I agree - I love me some Alba - but ahe did not come off well as Sue Storm.

The FF always felt (to me, anyway) like an scifi adventure book with villains. I'd love to see a reboot. If done correctly, Dr. Doom could be as popular as Darth Vader.

Fox had to do another movie in order to keep the movie rights. I don't think Disney is ever going to get Spiderman, X-Men or Fantastic 4 back.
