Don't count on it. Years ago they had a poll to gauge interest and Baraka, Quan Chi, Johnny Cage, and Kabal trampled her in the poll.
Not sure how it is now, but the good old boys club on that forum made sure to silence and mock anyone voicing an opinion outside of their own.

I sense your photo's have been auto balanced in some way, possibly adding to the level of contrast.

When I missed out on Goro, I basically abandoned this line, but what I would have loved to see them complete the "Warrior Shrine" lineup. All the MK1 characters + Goro. Dropping Shao and Baraka when they never did Liu Kang or Johnny seems odd.

There's a general "Mortal Kombat" thread in this forum I would recommend visiting for discussing "other" characters besides Sonya. That thread shows concepts of Liu Kang and Johnny Cage that are coming at some point soon.
And I agree on Goro he sold out quick. I have however seen a few pieces go on ebay recently for just over $200 which isn't too bad in the scheme of things.

Yeah, it's depressing thinking about trying to find him now. I just bought Sub-Zero from Spec Fiction and then an unopened Shao Kahn from eBay today, but I definitely want Goro. The only options right now are a damaged one for $290 BIN or some greedy a$$hat asking $600 on eBay. I will just keep waiting and watching.
