New Street Fighter Cammy Statue Out

Just arrived yesterday.

I'm so happy. Gonna pick it up today and post photos.

For now, it's only photos from the retailer.

I'm torn between picking this up and waiting for SOTA to come out with their resin statue of Cammy. I don't want to have two statues of the same character from the same scale.

This one looks really nice though! Yamato also made an incredible Chun Li statue as well that is becoming hard to find. I picked that one up from amazon.com a couple months ago for $140. I don't know how much it originally cost though.

Ok, she's here!

The base is nothing to shout about. It's just a simple transparent black plastic with "Cammy" printed in silver on it and 2 peg holes.

I got her because I'm a fan of the sculptor; Mitsumasa Yoshizawa.

Pick her up, she's not very expensive.

I see Yamato USA is picking up again after years of silence...

I can never get over how horrible those black round bases are, they have no definition and looks cheap as hell but them Japanese just keep using them...

The good thing about them is that they don't disract from the statue itself. That is what Jerry uses for all of his Street Fighter PF's and those are nice for the same reason.

Though I will say that the SOTA bases for their Street Fighter resins are all great, especially the upcoming Akuma standing on that rock

I own quite a few of Jerry's sculpts and that kind of black round base is a complete differnt story...

It's thic, solid and has that artistic edge to it but on the other hand them PVC bases are just, as you see, thin, cheap looking slice of plastic...

And yes that rock base of Akuma is awesome.

I heard stories of shoddy paint jobs by Yamato and have seen some not so good paint jobs on Yamato's stuff like their SF Poison PVC and also Evangelion Rei.

But surprisingly, the painting is quite good on this Cammy. I am pleasantly surprised. She's about 11" tall.
