I am a cichlid guy myself. I tried salt once and was able to keep everything alive (save a few species) but it was much more work. While the fish are more colorful, I did not find them to be as interesting (behavior) to watch as the cichlids.
Are you into Central/South American or African cichlids? My next tank will be a Lake Tanganyikan species tank ... focused on Cyphotilapia Frontosa

This particular tank I've had for about 3 years now, I used to have a bow front in the bedroom of my old place, which was much nicer. I'll try to find pictures of it to post.

Thanks. That's a 240g 8 footer. The reef is 150g 4'.
Do you still keep any cichlids?
