if you haven't picked this up yet - DO EEEEEET - he will eventually be very difficult to find once more bat villains are released

My theory is that this piece hasn't taken off due to the slow start of the DC line. Collectors are compulsive and the first thing they want to do right after buying a new piece to start a collection is buy another, and then another. The Joker PF released almost a full year before Ivy, and a year and a half before Batman; in that time, a lot of impulse buyers who jumped on the Joker probably got tired of waiting, and sold their pieces to move onto something else. So you have a ton of Joker PFs floating around, looking for homes. Just a page or two back, a couple of collectors mentioned selling it, regretting it, and wanting it back.
Like you said, once the DC line is more fleshed out, people will be seeking this one out. By the time all those Batmans, Supermans and Wonder Womans sell out, there will be a lot of sets that need rounding out. Get it while the getting is good. That's a long way off, but it's inevitable. And despite the flack it gets, the same thing will happen with the Green Lantern PF (prices are climbing already).

Totally agree with your assessment. Joker will eventually become one of the more rare and sought after in the line based on his popularity and relatively low ES, comparatively speaking. Due to the slower than expected start to the DC line however it's just going to take some time. Certainly longer than I thought as I predicted the Ex hitting the 1k mark within 3 years of it's release.

Yeah, but keep in mind, we are likeyly to get more Jokers and GL. It's not like those characters will never see a revisit.

And I'll be right there to snag the green lantern revisit when it happens as that's one of my favorite characters but I didn't like what was released for him and am holding out that next one will be far superior, time will tell!

Much like they've done with Dawg and Throg I hope we get a 1/4 scale companion piece of the Scarface dummy.

For the Joker, I agree, there will be others for sure, and probably in the near future. But this Joker will be hard to top, and it's also the one designed (base motif) to go with the other Batman related PFs, especially Harley.

I personally don't see them producing another comic based Joker PF for some time. And even if they did I don't think they'd be able to top the current PF as COI stated. I fully expect to see film versions however and maybe even an Arkham Asylum version in the near future.
GL is another story. I think we'll see another within a few years. Probably won't be Hal Jordan though. Likely either John Stewart and/or Kyle Rayner.

I would love to see a Ventriloquist and Scarface PF. That would be awesome, and lend itself to this format perfectly. Unfortunately, he's probably pretty far down the already long Bat list. Fingers crossed that we'll see him someday.
