A new Banksy artwork has appeared at Southampton General Hospital.

The largely monochrome painting, which is one square metre, was hung
in collaboration with the hospital's managers in a foyer near the emergency
department.

It shows a young boy kneeling by a wastepaper basket dressed in dungarees and a
T-shirt.

He has discarded his Spiderman and Batman model figures in favour of a new
favourite action hero - an NHS nurse.

The nurse's arm is outstretched and pointing forward in the fashion of Superman on
a mission.

She is wearing a facemask, a nurse's cape, and an apron with the Red Cross
emblem (the only element of colour in the picture).

The artist left a note for hospital workers, which read: "Thanks for all you're doing. I
hope this brightens the place up a bit, even if its only black and white."

The painting will remain at Southampton General Hospital until the autumn when it
will be auctioned to raise money for the NHS.

Paula Head, CEO of the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust
said: "Our hospital family has been directly impacted with the tragic loss of much
loved and respected members of staff and friends.

Thought i would share this story that appeared in the news today.

FedEx makes me laugh. As a rule, i donot like using FedEx. I prefer DHL.

Sideshow once sent a Hot Toys figure using FedEx, and i had no choice but to pay an import fee. Fine.

I deactivated my card from my FedEx page, after payment had cleared.

Sideshow sent another item via FedEx. To my dismay, FedEx had manged to re activate my card and take automatic payment?

Now that that card has expired, FedEx constantly send me emails informing me that i need to take 'immediate action' and add a new card.

I owe FedEx nothing. I have nothing in the post arriving from FedEx.
Sideshow have been instructed to never send stuff to me using FedEx.

Hi,

how are you ? Have you dusted off all the statues and set them up again
How is life in the UK at the moment?
Do you still have lockdown or a few rules have been softened ?

Fine..

Not all. 95% of them are behind glass

Lockdown has been fine. I go food shopping once per week. The rest of the has been spent inside or in the garden, as since COVID-19 kicked off, the UK has never seen such amazing weather. Clear blue skies. I wonder if traffic lock-down has played a part in this?

Rules are easing off. Slowly. I am back to work in 2 weeks times

Who knows? with easing off could mean a 2nd wave of COVID-19 and back to lock-down.

2020 has been a weird one.
I am not sure if COVID-19 or the knock on affect of less cars on the road has had any thing to do with it. It is fact air quality has improved. The UK has experience the best, sunniest, deep blue, cloud free skies since records began.
Some will state it is caused by global warming.

I am looking forward to being able to travel, fly again
