No, I understand it's a mirrored base, but just the shape of it and everything looks like a pool of blood to me.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I thought so too at first, but wondered if they were going for the effect of 3 spotlights on the ground.

I forgot about Elektra, and never even knew Wolverine had a problem! I guess it's a bit more recent a problem than I thought.

Overall it is cool but I feel this won't look as good in a normal collector's setup. With no curtains and the magic stars in the pic, I think it will just look like a character riding a floating pillow. Need to see pics with a normal backdrop.

I applaud SSC for trying something different.

I personally prefer the XM version based on what I am seeing here though.

I feel like it tends to happen with pieces you wouldn't think it should happen with, and maybe that is why.... SS ends up using poor engineering (like tiny or short pegs) because visually it just doesn't look like a potential leaner. Who knows. But at the end of the day I actually feel more confident in these extreme poses.

I'm invested in the XM piece, but this looks great

You could always make a backdrop
