Hope Iron Man ends up shipping, but I also wouldn't be surprised if XM just doesn't pay their bills and it ends up cancelled as well.

Agree. That is what I thought too. Also, I would not be surprised if the quality on this is subpar if it does ship.

As far as I know, LBS performs the quality control, so should be fine.

XM did say they would fulfill their obligations with the Iron Man piece. I choose to believe them! what an amazing day it will be when it arrives at my door.

Will LBS still do the QC? ...Even though the announcement said ithis 1/3 Ironman preorders will be fulfilled by XM?
Edit:
The announcement from XM did have this quote "To reassure collectors, XM Studios will continue to collaborate with LBS to fulfill existing pre-orders for the LBS Iron Man 1/3 scale statue." So I guess LBS could still do the QC.

I'm finding this whole thing very weird. Even though XM's announcement says they will still collaborate with LBS to fulfill the 1/3 Ironman preorders, the announcement from LBS doesn't say that.
