Better late than never, pick ups from STGCC 2013
I finally got all the artwork I picked up sorted (scanned/photographed) from STGCC 2013.
It was a much bigger show compared to last year with more notable guests (Joe Mad, Adi Granov & David Mack).
I'll start with a quick sketch of Psylocke from Ario Anindito,

Also picked up a couple of pinups from our good friend Garrie Gastonny,
I love this one, Spidey getting 'distracted' by MJ while Green Goblin is aproaching behind.

Wolverine & X-23 pinup

Also picked up some pre-arranged commissions from the Singapore based artists,
Andie Tong did this fantastic piece for me, I originally wanted just Nova, then I thought maybe I should add Gamora then...with the GOTG movie coming up, I was like wth, let's add Rocket Racoon, so here it is, I'm very pleased with this piece

Rey Villegas did this all action Psylocke vs Spiral piece which reminded me of the first Marvel vs Capcom fighting game which had both of them as playable characters

Alan Quah did this amazing rendition of Darkness on a throne for me, I can't even to imagine how much time he spent on rendering, enjoy

STGCC was David Mack's first trip to Singapore, he seemed shocked that he managed to sell out most of the books he brought with him on the first day. I got both my Kabuki AP & FB signed.
Also asked him for Kabuki piece and another Kabuki mask in my sketchbook. Watching him work with the brush is quite fascinating.

STGCC is also the first show in South East Asia for the Granovs, a week or so before the show, Tamsin posted on their FB about commissioning, as I was down with fever, I missed the chance. So the first thing I did on Saturday was to dash to his table. Unfortunately, Adi only wanted to do bust pieces for the show, although I was dissapointed, nonetheless the MK42 bust he did is awesome

I originally wanted to pick up an Iron Man cover/pin up piece from him, but I missed out after thinking too much on the last full colour Iron Man piece.
But people say, sometimes you miss something to get something better, J-M-T pointed out this Captain America cover that I should take a look more. After Adi took it out, it was clear that this was the star of the portfolio, Adi told us he kept it on his working desk for a few days after completing it because it turned out so well. It's also the first piece he did on a 400g Bristol Board. The Granovs asked us not to post the piece until Marvel previews it, and they did a couple of days ago

Also picked up some prints from Artgerm, and some sketchbooks.
What a fantastic show, I hope next year it'll be even better, can't wait

Great haul from the show. I really love to color work on the Segovia pieces! The Mark 42 from Adi is a great piece and that Cap cover is amazing!
You'll have a hard time beating this haul!

Fantastic haul! Those Segovia pieces are awesome! Super cool Tong Nova! You added value to that piece by including the GOTG members! Sounds like you had a great time! Congrats!

Wow! I knew that Cap cover would pop up sooner or later! So glad a SF member got it, major congrats! Some ill pickups, looks like a great show. Was it crowded? I've never been to a show outside the USA and always wonder what kinda crowds they command. I know the Aussies have great shows, but, that's probably because SF rolls hard down there.
