Customized the Spiderman PF base. Removed the Pumpkins and put three Skulls into the smoke. Tried to make a base for a better fitting to the XM Mysterio.
It was not possible to make a 1:1 base fitting cause the Xm base is like bubble gum structure and the Spiderman base is like smoke surface. So I decited to use some purple color elements and you can put Spiderman beside XM Mysterio or stand alone.
Mysterio uses his special effects gift to cheat Spiderman... so the color could be a little bit different to give Spiderman the illusion his world is colliding ;-)
Enjoy: (sorry, the light is very high. The purple effect is deeper in hand):

Nice conversion! I think it looks pretty cool. The Spidey PF and XM Mysterio certainly display great together!

Good job man! Not sure what pains you used, but if you want to get a bit closer and acrylics are fine, take a look at Badger's airbrush paints; specifically their "ghost tint" line. You might find one that works perfect for you, they have a number of used that have some of that appearance, just can't recall if there is one of that colour but I'll check my supply later and see if I have one.

Not feeling like cleaning up airbrush right now, but checked with brushes, and it looks like you could definitely pull it off. Do it with Magenta, or a mix of 2:1 or 3:1 Magenta:Purple and it should hit the right shade. Then just seal it with some matte finish to take down the gloss that it dries with. Do it in a thin later over some Eggshell White or something close and you should have it.
(the pic isn't fully dried so will change some, but it is close to show. Please excuse the cruddy looking mini, it was just a random one I slapped some primer and a quick base coat on to test this)
