Despite the fact that I'm a Dredd fan i did not pre-order. Good thing I didn't, shipping in December!

I like the final paint up much better than the proto paint up.

Have anybody bought a regular?

I'm curious if I will like that one better.
The excl. base makes the statue too crowded and draws too much attention away from Dredd.

Got mine and opened it up today

I'll do the cons first:
Styrofoam! It's molded and nice, but feels kind of low grade (large individual rounds) so it falls apart relatively easily (though not as bad as the pics of the old styro. It works well for now, long term I question it's ability to hold up :<

Missing parts: Only thing missing are the call-me-kenneth robots parts, and while I do want them I'm not going to display them with it and I trust Jerry to get them to us so not so bad.

Base color: The badge is very dark, a dark brown almost black sort of color. It's still nicely done but the goldish color would have been far better.

Pros!
The statue is great, it's huge. No real issues with the statue itself.
I expect a clean paint job regardless, but this paint job actually looks amazing. If you put it up against Sideshow's paints it makes them just laughable. Even the supposedly "ok" ones like the new Aayla look like absolute crap compared to this. Well done

As my first PCS purchase I am thrilled with it and definitely glad that I have ordered a few more pieces from PCS that are coming!

I would definitely give this piece at least a 9 out of 10, possibly a 9.5 because of the low ES. Thank you very much PCS

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

sigh looks like i drew the short straw.

Both legs of the ex corpse was chipped, dredd's helmet has a big blemsh in front, looks like it was chipped and factory tried to repair it with some paint over it leaving a mess (what are those guys thinking, do they really think a buyer will accept that on a $500 statue). And back of his helmet has paint issues bubbling up.

I hope there are replacement parts for this and sideshow will take care of it, because I really like this statue.

yeah I agree.. it could be the same paint app just different lighting.. but when they didn't approve jerry's original electric blue I was a bit dissapointed b/c it looked really good, but the production version almost looks like a fusion of navy blue and the original - or it at least has that metallic effect in addition to catching the light.. so I really like the final blue

Nice paint on this piece.. almost looks like oil paint on the base etc
