Nyssa huh? I don't remember Ra's having another daughter in the comics.
That's pretty cool that the mask has a back story/origin giving it some relevance beyond just helping him conceal his identity better.

She was introduced in the "Death and the Maidens" maxi series about a decade ago and has been sparsely used since. I think she may have been in Secret Society IIRC.

Ah. That explains why I'd never heard of her then. I kept up with all the Bat titles through the 80's up to about a decade ago when I more or less phased out my comic book collecting/reading outside the occasional trade.

wow, today's episode was outstanding! The island backstory sure is getting interesting, and I totally didn't see that ending coming!

Really liking the series still
Wondered how it would continue after the end of season 1.
Cool to see the island back sorry expanding and starting to wonder how the Russian guy got off the island and why ollie stayed behind when they made it off

I really liked it as well save "Vertigo". His overacting and quasi Joker schtick really took away from a tremendous episode.

Yeh, I don't know why they kept bringing him back, but then it also allowed us to realise that Oliver is not above killing when it is absolutely necessary even though he has taken a no-killing stance in general.
Time for a new (or not so new) villain! I also like what they did with Deadshot in the previous episode

Me either. I was thinking the show was going to be a bit down from last season. Katie Cassidy's character is becoming the in joke similar to Kristin Kreuk's character in Smallville and the whole when will Superman wear the costume. Maybe things will pick up now with two major bad guys.
