I was so hesitant and put off by the price but after much indecision I bought a pgm membership to get one but it's pre sold out. So comic con is a chance and Chris also put me on a wait list.

If this starts selling for $1K on ebay then almost nobody has a chance of getting this at SDCC. With less than 100 left, and quite possibly <50 left these will be sold to retailers every day that get in the Gentle Giant line before the exhibit floor even opens. Not only that, but the line expands in front of you as a lot of people let their friends cut in front of them while you get pushed further back in line. It wasn't like this last year because nobody wanted the exclusives, but Squirrelpool and the Vinyl Jawa were nuts in 2011.

However crazy the price may seem, congratulations are still in order for those that bought this magnificent statue. The 100 limited edition and the ultra sexiness, bond inspired statue will be the envy of most collectors, mine included!

Sideshow doesn't need to look at GG for anything. They already know how to raise prices steadily on their own.

Collecting is expensive at this level. There are always mini-busts, action figures, legos and other things to collect at a lower level. It's either collect less really nice things or get more by collecting lesser things.
