I'm guessing some people have no idea who Art Germ is or his art. These comments are like hearing someone saying a George Perez WW looks "too 80's". I mean I'm not sure what in the world you could have been expecting.

I will never understand the comment "looks too Anime". Sounds silly in itself.

I always wonder if these people even watch Anime before making that comment.

It’s a matter of taste first. Some people think a statue must be entirely sculpted. Then it is the aging -and its maintenance- of the material used for the cape; faux leather or fabric, which can be a problem. And finally, the poses of the fabric capes can be superb on the photos of the protos, but be a hell to reproduce at home.

I see. So it looks like P1's Arkham Batman uses pleather while Wonder Woman uses fabric... which one is relatively more durable? (I assume fabric).

I'm afraid you will discover this over time...

Run while you can. Every time you get a new statue in, a better one is revealed. A never ending drain on your wallet.

Fabric traps dust, odors, etc. It could get dried out and rot after a few years. The fake leather is easier to dust, but can become brittle and start flaking. These things might not happen, but can. I make it a rule not to collect mixed media since being picky is easy at $1K+ a pop. Now if her cape is removable with no holes/seams showing, then I'll bite.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

The face looks quite a bit like a typical female anime character. What don't you understand?

It's supposed to though since his artwork follows that style.

Gorgeous Statue! I love the artwork style of Artgerm, but imo the SSC statue line was not as good as these are.

The Anime style is quite broad though.

But I’m guessing by Anime most probably mean the ones that were popularised in Western media.

You saying that tells me that you have not watched any anime at all.

Point to me any character in anime that looks like this, I'll wait.

Characters in anime don't even follow a typical style because it's too varied. Even then, saying this resembles a "typical female anime character" is completely false.
