Yeah, but i'll bet most of their buying market has never seen in person, let alone owns any of the original vs. pieces. Plus they were never that consistent in scale on the originals anyway.
Either way, looks to be a cool piece!

Yeah, I might have to rethink some of the pieces I already have. While I don't have room/desire to double dip too often on characters, the right matchup might be preferred over individual pieces in some cases. Opens up a lot of cool possibilities.

The market has changed a lot since those original vs pieces first came out, and bigger is now better, with 1/4 being the standard, at least in the market Sideshow caters to. I think it had to be at least 1/5 scale at this point for their audience. And I'm guessing 1/5 was picked over one 1/4 as a slight compromise to get this piece out at a reasonable price and size.
I also happen to think some of their best work has been done at 1/5, so I'm excited.
