He said on insta that he has been involved in a couple of motorbike accidents but the back problems were also just wear and tear of life, I suspect bad posture while he was sitting for hours sculpting clay was a factor as well.

He says his back is better after surgery.

Yep, I saw a post from him on Facebook where he said his spine was healing nicely from surgery.

And to the point of this thread, his posting activity has been up the past few days.

Although I've stopped collecting (Bowen) busts, it's great to hear he may be sculpting again. I'm still proudly displaying his work in my living room.

The Bowen Action Juggernaut statue is one of the all time greats from Bowen in my opinion. That thing that looked like Sloth from the Goonies to begin with, and became a masterpiece when Randy "fixed" it and then released it. Great memories of the whole process with this particular statue, but only because of the awesome outcome!

One of my favorites for sure.

What's crazy is the eBay values for this piece are strangely low. Lower than they've ever been. Makes no sense to me whatsoever.
