But the response from XM is ridiculous. The distance between pillar and leg is about 1 centimeter.

Between the bloodshot eyes, motorcycle helmet (who's actually going to use it???), and now the lean, this statue is a disaster.

XM can you tell me why we should pay so much money for a rubber doll?

I wouldn't go so far as disaster. Mine has none of those issues. The thread is full of many happy customers. The motorcycle helmet is cool in person. The statue really is beautiful and dynamic.

They should have made the knee key into the pillar then to have two points of contact. It could still scratch the paint.

I falled in love with this statue because Batgirl, the pose and the classic mask portrait. I could justify the price by saying: hey, with four heads and multiple arms, weapons and capes, you have half a dozen statues for the price of one. At the end of the day, I have one statue for the price of two. I only like a portrait - the oni mask, i have slightly improved the make up-, and a configuration - with the sculpted cape-.
But I love my leaning statue and I am sure she will perfectly pair with the P1 New 52 Batman, if we see this one one day...

I get your point, but I could certainly see some people arguing that piece is overpriced at $125 just as these are overpriced at $900, $1000, or whatever.
I guess it all just depends on what individual people prefer/are willing to pay for because personally I'd rather pay $1,000 for 1 1/4 scale, highly detailed statue than $125 x 9 for small and far less detailed figures.

I seriously considered buying this statue but passed bc of the base. In-hand pix, the leaning issue, and XM's "response" have only increased my sense of relief at passing on it.
