I know that I really don't post to much on here but truth be told, I think of the "eyes being closed" affect as being as though she is looking downward. I see this piece as she is sorta looking in amazement at her dress and that her outfit and what is happening in that transformational moment. In addition I kind of feel similarly to the Gwen Stacey as I see her as looking downward at the raindrops and how they're landing on the ground as she is tip-towing through them. It shows a dynamism to me and as the viewer looks at them looking downward, the eye immediately follows and then you get to appreciate the entire piece as a whole. I then feel somewhat connected to the personality of the character at that moment. Also, Campbell has a great way over stylizing his females in that their shoulders are almost always so far back that they allow for that "chest out look" and adds to their petite-ness. I think that if he had them "hunch over" to look downward, they would not retain that look. So the eyes just looking down with a slight tilt of the neck and head does it for me. I think this piece is a winner and I like it.

While, I have to admit. when I first saw Cinderella's eyes closed, I was disappointed. Now that I've seen the new reveal in more detail, I'm actually happy with the statue as whole, eyes closed and all.

The elegant pose of Cinderella standing up straight, with the Magic swirling around her making the dress appear, and that smile of happiness she is sporting on her face.

I can't wait to see what kind of base she going to have.

So wait, people are now going with the dress is being made? Versus it’s midnight and it’s disappearing?

I know the JSC is her running away, losing a shoe, and the dress magic wearing off.

But I can see where it can been seen it’s transforming and being made. She also has both shoes

This is definitely an amalgam of his first and third Cinderella pieces, and I believe it's before the ball as she's getting ready. She has that look of joy on her face as opposed to worry and she has both slippers on her feet.

The base will represent paving stones, and on these, two little amazed mice ( blue and pink ) looking at the transformation of the dress.
