[QUOTE=Dinos4Ever;5892964]Exactly. Being "nice" to a few people does not exempt you from your responsibilities nor the blame when your ventures go awry."
So true, so many apologists on this forum making excuses for an individiual/company who took their money. Why give any benefit of the doubt to a company that didn't even have the decency to make a social media post or send out an email before cancelling hundreds of orders without refunds?
Just because someone was "nice" on an internet forum or gave away "freebies" at some convention doesn't mean they get a pass. How absurd. So your limited interaction with the guy means any legal issues solid enough to go to court must be fabricated then right?

He attained licenses with a partner, then screwed his partner and their customers when he jumped ship and took the licenses with him. So either he has the unluckiest picks of business partners in the history of business partnerships, or he's done this before, and knows how to get away with it. I choose Occam's Razor here.

Agreed.
I have $1300 in paid for products tied up right now with them. I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.
CC has always been good to me and were very generous when issues arose. I never dealt with Paul F., but Heather R. and Glenn G. were always wonderful. Glenn delivered my product to my house once just because it was on his way home and I had been waiting on it for a long time and there was miscommunication about it. Used his own personal time to do so. Glenn is awesome! I feel worse for the CC employees affected by this.

Of topic FYI: Calling people "Betas" on an internet forum is not how an Alpha behaves. As a matter of fact, a true alpha doesn't resort to name calling of any kind because they are leaders and confident with who they are, they don't feel the need to put down others.
Many other ways to have a conversation without putting people down for their opinions.

This is a bit too far fetched You don't even know the facts here and your judgement is done. They burnt people in piles a while ago based on this kind of mentality.
You should better concentrate on the actual Chonicle's ownership which is most likely responsible for this mess, buying new licenses when they even hadn't fullfilled older pieces.

I can only go by my personal experiences with both Chronicle and Paul. I've always received what I ordered and always had a good relationship with everyone involved--from buying something as small as a John Wick Blood Marker to the 1:1 Endoskeleton. Me saying that doesn't discount what's going on currently, so dial back the rhetoric--especially against forum members that aren't responsible for any of this.
I get why people are frustrated. Chronicle should have informed everyone with an order with them of what was going on and how they plan to deal with it. However, people throwing out tons of speculation about not getting refunds as fact when no one knows what's going to happen is ridiculous. It hasn't been confirmed that Chronicle is stealing money from anyone. My guess is that at worst everyone gets their money back. At best, everyone gets what they paid for. In the meantime, the sky is falling and forum members are attacking each other because they don't know how to express their frustration with the situation without attacking someone--anyone. So stupid.

I don’t think anyone is outright defending chronicle or paul. If they are, fine. I try to give the benefit of the doubt when people like you and others are at the ready to just crucify these guys. Give them a little time to maybe get things in order for how they’re going to proceed. This is a brand new thing, partial.ly says chronicle told them they’re figuring out what they can refund and what they can fulfill.
The fact that you and others are just waiting with your hands at the ready to draw your guns in some weird stand-off is just weird to me. What’s interesting is that you have so much back story on Paul and any company he’s affiliated with, which makes me question why you’re even on this page to begin with. Are you waiting to just say “I told you so”? For someone with such extensive knowledge as to what a ---- person Paul is (going by the tone of yours and others), I doubt you even have any stock in what’s happening now.
The funny thing is, I’m not saying you’re wrong, nor is anyone else that I’ve read. But there is an optimism and hopefulness that you only suppress when you jump at any opportunity, with zero facts on the situation, to attack Chronicle and Paul. Let us deal with it. If you’re right, you’re right, but listen to your own words. Just like you say we can’t let someone off the hook for being nice, you can’t immediately indict someone now for something from the past. Just like we have “limited interaction” with him to not make judgements, the same applies to yourself.

I think they were being honest in their COVID email. Everything is so backed up in China. I have a statue, by another producer, sitting at a China distributor. It has been there for at least 5 weeks.

You make a good point, I took it out. I respect your intelligence. I get irritated when people are taken advantage of that way by some company but then turn around and defend them. That's no excuse though, it was unnecessary.
This all just seems like what happened with that guy Jerry at PCS awhile back and people said he was "nice" too. Unfortunate that's all. They had some really cool stuff coming up.

I would imagine that they would file Chapter 7 in which their assets would be sold off to pay out any outstanding debts. If you preordered direct through them and didn’t use a payment plan, you’re on the bottom of the debtors list. The top of the list being any I collateralized debt or mortgages etc.
if you purchased through a third party or made payments on a payment plan, Your contract is with them so you should get a refund from them.
Basically, if you ordered a statue from Timewalker toys and paid it up front, Timewalker has to refund you and then turn around and go after chronicle. The real victims will be the retailers.

Agreed, this whole mess is unfortunately all to familiar.
Let's hope we all get our money back unlike those who got royally screwed by the PCS fiasco
