anyone buy from calscustoms?
there is a hawkeye on ebay that looks to be going for a high price and i am not sure about bidding on it. most of these look like doggy doodoo but his stuff looks awsome and i would love to have this hawkeye. if you have bought from him what is your opinion seeing it in person.

Cal does good stuff....
You really have to ask yourself what you want out of a custom though....do you intend to just display him, or actually care that the articulation still works properly.
A lot of these customizations are "locked" into one position, and they dont really specify that enough. For display purposes, it doesnt matter...but if you want full articulation, ask about that first.
Not saying Cal does this, but images can be deceiving. Just bacause one pic has him reaching in the back of his quiver, doesnt mean that that pose can be accomplishes once the customization is done. It may have been a pic taken :in progress".
Be sure to e mail him with ALL your questions beforehand. I watch all of Cals auctions pretty closely, as he is one of the best out there...this piece is probably going to go for over $300 easily!
