Help with Rob Liefeld?

So I've been hesistant to post this in fear of getting flamed. Yes, I know Rob's a controversial figure but when I was growing up reading comics he brought alot of energy to the books he was on. So now that I'm older and have a little $ in my bank account, I decided to try and reach out to Rob to see if I can get a commission from him. Figured it may be a long shot, but I see others had success.

Needless to say, I am having trouble in getting my commission completed (or just sent). Details on my situation are below. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

I commissioned Rob and sent payment through Marat Mychaels back in September of 2010. When the commission was set-up, i was told that the turnaround would be 4 weeks.

Initially both Marat and Rob were ok with responding to emails. After some time however, there was less response. In February, I inquired for a refund since I had not heard or seen anything from either of them. At that point I received one response from Rob indicating that there were no refunds on commissions. While I followed up with a few more emails asking them for status updates, I have not seen a response.

Anyone have contact with either Marat or Rob that can help me with my situation?

If this is true and he's flat out ignoring you, I hope this get's around and the public destroys what's left of his reputation.

Oy vey. No refunds on commissions. 10 months late so far. Rare responses to e-mails. Broken promises by both the rep and the artist. No set date of completion of work. Not even a prelim. Lots of anguish. And, a heavy dose of disillusionment at the hands of a childhood hero.

Sorry to hear about your situation, Carlito. I wish I can say your story is unique. It isn't. However, your post does contribute to the growing pool of shared stories of commissions gone awry. I hope this turns out good for you in the end.

I understand and agree with a policy of "no refunds on commissions" once you have gotten the commission

Have you checked eBay to see if he is selling your commission so as to repay you?
