That is weird! I just saw the statue available to preorder at SSC.

Recently, I got notified from the store I preordered the CC statue from a couple years ago (Sideshow is their distributor) to hold off on my Prime 1 T-Rex Rotunda purchase because SSC told them the CC is on the way.

How is this possible?

Perhaps this statue was near or already finished production when CC declared bankruptcy - if this is in fact true, I hope the finished piece is good and they did not cut corners (i.e. QA things like sloppy paint work) in order to rush out the finished product.

Part of me does not want to believe this statue will ever see the light of day - I guess any sales generated from this statue would go directly to the creditors or legal fees that CC owes money to.

I think it was. For this piece Chronicle posted pictures/videos of both factory counter sample and production sample, IIRC.

Errr yes they did. They show the factory sample in one of the comic cons. The paint tone was a bit different from the proto but looking very good. It was made by the factory who makes the Dinosaria for Sideshow.

i could not find news about it (email newsletter?) - when i check the store website, they are all sold out but that might be the older ones
