And yet going by actual posts, you would think the poll should be closer to 95% negative.

It's just disappointed post after disappointed post in here.

There are a lot of people who don't post (often) but just read or vote in polls, before i started posting a few years ago i was one of those people. Somewhat of a silent majority you could say.

Is it me or does the new head seem proportionally small on the body?

Here's my guess. The initial portrait (the good one) was done by the same sculptor who did the body. The new one (the fugly one) was done by someone different, hence why the neck is too long and the face does not match the physique of the body sculpt.

Definitely looks done by a different sculptor, i wonder how the original sculptor feels about it, i forget her name.

It has happened before at Sideshow. The previous Supergirl statue with salute pose, if I'm not wrong was done by Mark Newman who is amazing at female sculpts. He also already sculpted the head and face. We never saw that face. We found out later, Sideshow got someone else to redo the face into the smiling saluting face we now have.

It was very very jarring, because you could feel the body style did not match the face.

Atleast with super girl the portrait was an upgrade, i'm sure the sculptor would understand lol but here they've effectively downgraded psylocke.

While I did like the original portrait (and saw it at SDCC) I much rather prefer the pony tail look, so the new one gets my vote.
