Actually, when I was in high school 84-87, I never listened to what was on the radio, I actually used to just buy the different CCR tapes. One of the best bands ever!!!!!

I love so much music - but one of the all time greats - and a band that peaked in popularity when I was in high school - R.E.M.

definitely for me iron maiden is by far the most influential,NWOBHM is god given to me,the days of metal had passed when i started listening to them im 26 now so i started listening to metal around 1996 when nirvana and pearl jam started killing the scene which was good to be honest with bands like ****i&*warrant and all calling themselves metal it had to just stop!I can honestly say my teens were like one really awesome guitar solo with all the highs and lows and the fast bits!I hate what has happened to the rock scene now with this emo crap and bands like HIM!Man i hate HIM,rubbish bloody band!Im going to see disturbed next month which will be good they are preety decent.i was going to see judas priest next month but they canceled the NZ concert must have not sold enough tickets!!!!!Bands i want to kill slipknot and avenged sevenfold they just play annoying twangy songs, god i hate them .norwegian black metal is even worse!
by the way since we are talking rock, got to see Guns and roses few months back, one of the biggest disappointments in my life, axel rose is a true A$$hole!
