Ghost in the Shell Live Action

The film will be adapted from the manga and will be produced by the DreamWorks.

Rupert Sanders will direct the adaptation. Sanders will be working from a script penned by writer William Wheeler.

Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country.

I loved the anime, hopefully the live action movie can stay true to it. They mentioned it was a favorite of Steven Spielberg so I was hoping he had more involvement in it. Crossing my fingers.

Would love to see this and a live action Akira. Not sure they can live up the originals, but I still wouldn't mind to see it all in live action.

Akira live action is lost in development hell. On another note, I think Gemma Arterton would make a nice Motoko.

I would like to see Daniella Kertesz (Segen WW Z) or Rooney Mara (Girl with Dragon tattoo remake)

I hope they don't white wash the whole cast. At least cast a Japanese actress as Motoko.

But in the anime Motoko doesn't look like an Asian woman to begin with. Since she is a cyborg I think it's ok to cast a white actress for the role.

Hmm I didn't think of that but like Metroid said she didn't look Japanese. As a matter of fact most of them didn't if I recall correctly. Only the chief stands out in my mind as Japanese.

Margot Robbie has begun early talks for the role of Motoko.
