I'd be in for acrylic eyes, but I guess that would require yet another approval.

if you're going acrylic, they have to be right. also, how much would that add to the cost? I just thought CM was doing a good job on painted eyes (decals). most people can't tell they are decals.

Surely it's no just the cost of the eyes, it's fitting them also.

probably but when i was close to buying one of these from kit makers i saw the difference and asked that they use acrylic eyes. it gives something like this so much more realism than painted.

but it's not make or break for me. if they want a certain price for this so be it. but once we get into 1:1s it's acrylic eyes or we riot!

lol

I am not personally interested in the Rex. I am a 1:1 guy and not into wall mounts. But the acrylic eyes appear to make a significant improvement. I would venture to guess that a future 1:1 Raptor bust will have acrylic. I would be willing to pay more for the upgraded eyes. Regardless this new Rex looks great!

Don't get me wrong, I'd certainly pay more as well.

Thing is if Paul feels the need to keep the price down that's up to him.

Look at the 1:2 Arnie Bust, $350. They've already said a 1:1 would come in over 1k. Sure that will have more detail, including the eyes. At a price.

We'll look into acrylic eyes for the busts, I don't think that would change the price. If you guys want to find an acrylic eye you can agree on for the male and female, they have different sized pupils, we'll purchase them and send them to China with our masters.

After looking at the recasts you guys have posted, it's interesting to see how incomplete they actually are and that the temporal membranes really make the piece.
