You guess...?
Koto has always been that Japanese company so what's so surprising about hiring a Japanese sculptor... 
In fact I'm quite positive that all the Marvel sculpts done by Koto so far are sculpted by Japanese...

I mainly wanted to point out the ultraman pose (which is good), and the possible Japanese media influence on it, while knowing its coming from a Japanese company. It has nothing to do with the sculptor being Japanese or not.
