Has Man-Thing reached "Grail" status ?
I've never seen it in person but it looks like a fantastic sculpt and it goes for big bucks on ebay, plus it only has an ES of 300, truly the good old days of Sideshows Marvel line, low edition size & high quality.
So is he now considered a Sideshow grail along with Doom, Hulk, X-men dio 1 ?

It's definitely a nice piece. However, when it was first previewed, it wasn't anywhere near as embraced as it was once it started to command bigger aftermarket dollars.

I see many people try to sell it for something more than 1000$ but not sure if it effectively sells.
The character popularity is too low to bring him up there with the ones you mentioned, imho, even if I think the sculpt is impressive. More than most other Sideshow grails, to be honest.

i only believe in personal grails, something that you really want but for whatever reason have had a hard time obtaining. some people gawk at that but the concept of the "grail" has become ridiculous, overhyped and overused. I have zero interest in all of the big name ones but my personal grails, while maybe only another handful of people might have interest in, are highly sought after... by me.
this is a very nice piece though, impressive sculpt worth the money over some of the other common offenders imo

It does have a fantastic sculpt, Majestic, and I wouldn't mind owning it but I am not willing to pay the big bucks for it as I don't think it is worth it. Some do, I don't. There are other "grails" that I would rather put my money towards a purchase than this.

I've never even heard of "Man-Thing".
Is he Marvel's version of Swamp Thing?

I'm not a big fan of the character or the way the statue is designed to have he's feet cut off.
That said it's a pretty awesome sculpt with a lot of detail.

A beautiful statue to be sure, but not in the same category as the other pieces you mentioned. Just my personal opinion, but I agree the other pieces you mentioned should be categorized as grails. Especially the original Doom PF EX, that statue is just amazing.

If its hard to get, it would be considered "Grail".
