But has anyone been complaining that no one is making Steppenwolf?

TH did a great job on Steppenwolf, it's just that he's been ready for how long now and no reveal? and there are quite a few characters that haven't had much love that I think would sell well: Booster Gold, Dr. Fate, JSA GL, Sinestro, Power Girl.

Definite buy for me to pair with Darkseid. I'll take DeSaad, Kalibak, Granny Goodness, and the Furies as well.

I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Well, I think the people vocal on this forum probably represent a pretty small section of the community. Plus, out of those who make those complaints, I would guess that when someone doesn't want "another Batman", they really want THEIR wish list character, but not anyone else's.

I get why we are bombarded with Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman and why these lines never go that deep. That's why I've really wanted Chad to be as successful as he can in what he rightly calls a "niche". That is the only way we could ever get a Mxyzptlk - a statue company being ok with surviving on a small niche group of collectors. Were the close to 100 Mxyzptlk statues even worth his time and effort? I have no idea. I HOPE so, but I wonder....

Steppenwolf may even be too much of a deep cut, but it's hard to tell where to draw the line. Wasn't Steppenwolf actually a mail-in figure in the Kenner Super Powers line? It seems like that's why I had him. It would be the only reason.

My wish list is topped by 80s/90s Outsiders. I don't want to discourage that, but if Chad were to create an 80s Geo-Force, maybe he'd sell 20? I'll pay double.

Pretty sure that the steppenwolf preview was a bit of eagerness on Chad's part. He gauged the response after and reassessed. But he is ready to go, but there are others that need to get done to spark the interest.

I think overall, people want lessor known and disregarded heroes more than villains. I personally am very picky with which villains I collect.

There is somewhat of a pattern I see where companies will have to do the popular characters so that it'll help with funding some of the less popular characters. I have yet to see that strategy allow anyone to dive into the obscure characters that have not ever seen the light of day. So if six batmans gives us one Circe, or Silver Swan, or a lady Blackhawk then by all means make every day a batsy day.
