Frogmat looks like a good idea

Was watching the Graham Norton show last night and heard about this for the first time. A mat made of straw that gets rolled out around the shoreline and slick . . . apparently it drags the oil in towards it, and can soak up 20 times it weight in crude. It also gives wildlife something they can easily climb up onto (as opposed to the booms.

Yeah I was watching that Joanna Lumly was talking about it ... seems like a brilliant idea.

will someone just hurry up and invent an arc reactor already? then we don't have to go to all the trouble of drilling into the ground.
we'll just be able to build one in our basements with a do-it-yourself kit through the mail.
