I need to do a little touch up around the edges of the cowl and eyes, but beyond that this is pretty much done. Considering it's my first quarter scale statue I've painted I'm fairly pleased with the results. It's a beautiful piece and an excellent representation of Alex Ross's art. Sorry for the crappy pics and lighting but this thing weighs a ton and it's in it's final display spot. I'll try to take some better pics soon. Thanks for looking!

It looks great. What do you have planned for your next project?

I got a few stashed in the queue. Next up is the Sosa AR Superman. It's the 17" non-scale version but it's still a cool kit.
It's primed and ready for paint but I'm having work done in my basement this week so I'm shut down for a bit.

After that I have an AR Captain America 1/4 scale kit from the makers of the AR Batman Kit above. Then a Wolverine kit from Underworld Sculptures. Both challenging builds but ultimately the end result is worth it.

Clearing out the man cave for floor work, snapped off a quick pic under better lighting.

I'm on furlough this week so I have plenty of time to work on the Alex Ross Superman statue. Blue and yellow are done. Basic skin tone base coat is done. Tomorrow is red day. I'll lay down the dark red undercoat, hit the highlights with white and finish it off with the main red color. Once that's done I'll finish up the head and hands....and he needs a gold belt buckle.

Moving right along...
