Freshness of Poly Resin and bubbled?

Hello gang!

I've used Polytek 1512 (x) for a long time and have been happy with the results. Recently I ordered directly from Polytek some 1512. I noticed crystals in the A side and a bit more amber colored. I choose to get my resin from the manufacturer for freshness.

I do pressure cast, but I noticed my waste in the cup VERY bubbly.

So, how much relationship does the age of the resin have to bubbles?

I have some from another batch I will start using soon. hopefully the A side is clear as expected and not amberish

(side note) with pressure casting, I have used very old 4 year old 1512 resin and got usable results, So don't throw your old resin out.

In fact I've been using some 4-5 year old Platsil rubber and making good molds although I have had to watch for congealed lumps.:-)

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

If you mean the waste resin cured in the cup bubbly, it could mean you had some moisture in there.
