Help: super sculpey wont grab

Hello, I am unable to get super sculpey to grab unto armature. The wiring I'm using is galvanized steel. Thoughts ?

I usually wrap the larger wire with a lot of smaller wire, kind of messy, so the sculpey has something to adhere to.

If you have some Aves epoxy, you could put a little of that on to build it up.

Sounds like there's too much surface that is smooth. One way or the other, you need to scuff up the armature wire, or wrap the armature wire with something (floral wire) etc to get some bite. No matter what you decide, you just need something that gives the sculpey a chance to stick to... smooth armature wire won't do that alone. Best of luck.
