I was all for getting the Church base when I thought they were going to do a Titan's lineup. But since the SP line has been scrapped and I have Robin with the Batman family it works better since the bases are more cohesive.
I was upset however that the statue I ordered on the TH website had the Church shown in the pictures and that is not what I got.
If they ever make it I will be happy to get it but at this point I highly doubt that is going to happen.
I returned mine as soon as I received it. I knew that base thing was not going to work out. Even if it did, 2 boxes to house a statue was a non starter for resale or value.
I never cashed in those $15 coupons we were suppose to have and now that they only sell through Sideshow I guess thats done.
I never used any of mine either. I don't even know how many $15 coupons I was supposed to have. Would have been nice for that idea to have been better organized with an easy way to redeem them.
After months of tracking, I finally caught me a Regular Robin. So happy to finally have this guy on my shelves. The hunt of this one was fun. Actually the past two acquisitions of long sold out pieces were fun hunts. Twists and turns, ups and downs but patience and persistence delivered the desired result this hobby is so much fun. Over 2 decades later, its still as fun as ever. Very thankful for this wonderful hobby as a (mostly) healthy pastime for me.
This may sound crazy but this is one of my favorite statue pairings. They look so good together. Their art direction, sculpting, colors, poses and their bases?.so good. I passed because I was undecided if I wanted the EX or the regular. I was waiting for the special EX base that never happened and basically just drifted away. Really turned me off as I was on the fence between the Regular and the EX and it seemed Chad and TH really didnt care...and I said if they dont care why should i care and I walked away from TH. years passed, and I realized the Robin was an amazing representation of the character and it was a perfect match to Batman and i really had to have it despite the base shenanigans. I far prefer the regular base as its colors match the Batman base and it just has a better flow. Im happy i waited as i was going to get the EX which is normally the correct move, but in this case the Regular is the right version for me.
