Exactly! I’m not rich and I suspect no one in here really is either. The only thing I can think of is they don’t want to warehouse these things forever while people pay these off on extended plans...but if they don’t want that, then I would think higher payments at fewer months would keep them there longer lol.

Everyone’s different, but I will say what has worked best for me so far in this hobby is purchasing at full price with an interest free credit card and that gives me the freedom to pay it off in my own timeframe that works best for my finances. It also keeps my credit looking great haha

Does anyone know if they started cutting these payment plans in half since the SS vs. P1 debacle? I have the LK Megatron on PO and have been going back and forth on Barricade and I could have sworn those used to have longer then 4 and 3 month flex pays.

The EX is largely irrelevant and I'd definitely take the peace of mind and safety of having a retailer deal with the potential problems on something this big and expensive. It'll be a nightmare to deal with yourself.
