Anakin maquette

Has anyone else had any problems with the clone wars Anakin statue? On mine the paint job on the face has absolutely no shading or definition and the lightsabre deosn't fit the handle. Is this a common fault or am I just unlucky? I just want to know if its worth ordering a new one or just getting this one fixed.

the problem i had with him is the foot pegs where to wide for the holes in the base and it took a bit of bending the resin to get it to fit, which i was super lame as i thought it was gonna snap

Yup I had that one too. A few tense moments before the thing went on trhe base. Very disappointing given how noce the others have been.

There was supposed to be a little tension to stabilize it better, but some of them were way off. I had to send 4 of mine back to the distributor because I didn't want to snap the legs and even if I tested ok...who's to say a customer wouldn't snap a leg or be afraid to even try and put it together? Still a great collection those maquettes.

I guess I got lucky with mine since I heard lots of people complaining about the pegs, but mine were fine.

I had that same problem on mine, which I know longer own.

You need to use the "hairdryer trick" in that situation. Heat the legs up with a hairdryer and then move them into place on the base. Resin or polystone won't snap if you give it a little heat, and it bends much easier. I used a hairdryer myself, and it worked like a charm.

I have just bought one on ebay so should be getting it soon. How long did you heat it with a hairdryer for? I'm worried I will have the same problem. I dont get why the Grevious and Anakin are pegged into the base when the first wave and Bariss Ofee and Unduli Big boobie (or whatever the hell their called!!!) aren't.

Mine was a little tight but nothing that made me nervous. I did have a bent lightsaber but was able to correct. Thank goodness they're using the metal now. I broke the saber insert on the Obi maquette. The paint looked a little washed out until I adjusted the lighting.
