I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Agreed big time.

Cool piece no doubt. Just not my style.

As a comic book reader first and foremost the first sideshow piece I ever saw was Black Panther and the sculpting level along with the fabric cape are what pulled me in.

I’ve had more problems with paint and part quality than fabric deteriorating. The only fabric issue I ever had was some overcutting on the bent over comic based Hulk PF’s pants I had to send back for a refund. My personal quality clothes don’t deteriorate being worn through the years, only cheap T shirts after considerable time and washes; I imagine quality fabric on a statue that does nothing aside from “display” should hold well. Bring on the doll jeans.

I now like the p1 1:3 Superman with fabric better than sculpted. I like the idea of being able to twist it the way we like. So fabric is quite good imo.

My contention has more to do with the juxtaposition of a sculpted tank and fabric jeans. I get why they did it, but I'm not a huge fan of the mix 'n' match.

I think the fabric elements tend to lend themselves better to subjects such as LOTR or COTD, those are fantastic. I'll wait and see what this fabric looks like.

My experience has been to cross my fingers and hope the fabric looks decent out of the box. No way I want to be doing Logan's ironing or futzing with his pants.

I don't consider it a Hugh Jackman look because it started in the comics before he was rocking the tank top in X2. First movie he just went shirtless.

And I like the classic civilian look too, but that would be a waste of Daniel Bel's insane gift for sculpting muscle. I wish Gentle Giant had used that look on one of their new Wolverine statues.

Has it been stated that the tank is sculpted?

Daniel told me on FB that only the pants are fabric.
