No way ... I still say this is here to stay. We ain't goin' back. How would DC even begin to explain the change back to any new readers that hopped on starting w/ this new revamp?

I think they have the escape build in already...its the "mysterious woman in red" who appears in every number one isue...didnt she said somewhere in that the various timelines had to converge into one ?...i think this line was never establisched as the definite one....so if everything goes to ---- (which at the moment it doesnt look like...but it is still early to tell...we are afterall only at the number 2 issues)...the can always reinstate the old/new universe and reverse most of the changes...

Right now, they are just throwing stuff out there and seeing what sticks. If sales are good, it survives, if not, they get cut and another one steps forward. Since they have rebooted, they have an opportunity to do pretty much anything with the characters so they have a lot of opportunities to try new stuff with old characters and see if new and old readers like it.

None of the six titles in question are surprises, really. Did anyone really think all 52 titles were going to survive and thrive? A certain amount of cancellations was expected, and I'm sure they have titles waiting in the wings to take their places. We still haven't seen the promised launches of Batman Incorporated or Batman Beyond, plus there are plenty of other characters that could be given a trial run to see if they stick. Atom, Plastic Man, Red Robin, Steel, Hardware and Zatanna are all possibilities, just to name a few.

Batman Beyond comes out in February.

Batman Incorporated is replacing one of the cancelled titles.

So the six titles replacing the cancelled ones are Batman Incorporated, Earth 2, World's Finest, Dial H, G.I. Combat and The Ravagers

I enjoyed OMAC and I thought Mr Terrific was OK. The others did suck though.

You know DC will not be able to resist going back to titles like Detective for the milestone issues. The whole renumbering is always used to boost sales and promote comics in the news. For the most part, I'm sure it works 100% of the time. Then sales drop off as usual.
