Wow! great point never thought of this but so true. These days those recast has gotten so good they are close to the real statues now. Not perfect but close enough like those later newer recast we are selling popping up so fast on the newer statues. I hate recast myself and reported them all. SS and eBay does nothing at all. After days of reporting multiple times. Nothing happen so I gave up.

Well the people that are doing the recasts are not paying a licensing fee to Marvel so that probably helps keep the cost down.

I was going to write that. DC Collectibles did Black Manta at 12 inches and it's like $134.00. Yet Twweterhead, Gentle Giants statues in that scale are twice that. I take it D.C. Collectibles
doesn't pay fees.

But what are the fees and what’s the spread sideshows making.
For sideshow they have had record breaking sales probably for the past two - three years
Don’t think they have been having record breaking costs and record breaking fees

Nor are they paying the sculptors, painters, concept artists, studio costs, licensing for software to create the product, etc. etc. etc.

Let’s agree that selling price has little to do with production cost. $700 is a massive amount of money to put down on a comic statue.

Come to terms with what this ridiculous hobby is and you will be better for it.
