I think the Surfer could leave it drifting in space or throw it into a star or something to that effect, but I don't see him being able to literally destroy it or permanently defeat it.

I agree with you Drew...

Let's take this cross-publisher....could Superman defeat the Destroyer? My guess is hell no...power cosmic and everything, but then that opens the door to everyone complaining about Silver Surfer being able to beat Superman.

Agreed.
I guess a better question at this point would be "Which Marvel hero would the Destroyer not lose a fight against?"

If Howard the Duck inhabited the armor, would it grow a beak?
That would rock.
Hahaha.. I'm not the biggest HtD fan, but I'm givin' that delicious (duck is grub) hero all sorts of play lately.

The whole "Marvel vs. DC" thing falls flat half the time since both universes follow their own sets of "tiered heroes"; I never bought those Marvel/DC crossovers, but didn't they drop the ball somewhat on how such skirmishes played out, with personal favoritisms on the part of the creative staff calling the shots?
I think it's the second-tier heroes where the real battles would occur... lots of fine print concerning their powers & abilities.
.... or we could just watch the LoS or Green Lantern Corps fight the Avengers, the X-Men and the new Guardians of the Galaxy; who's the big winner in that case?
We, the readers, are.

Who's complaining about the SS beating Superman? The SS would hand him his ass on a platter.

Sadly... I think they'd probably win; agreed.
I mean... strength of their insane amount of members on each team is just the tip of that "Iceberg o' Pain" (Painberg?).
Blech...now I feel dirty.
